Can We Make Släkt a Verb?

Because “Did you Släkt it?” sounds better than “Did you forget again?”

Let’s talk verbs:

“Google it.”
“Venmo me.”
“Uber over.”

Somewhere along the way, the best tools stop being just things — and start being actions. They become shorthand for a behavior. A solution. A vibe.

That’s the dream, right?

So here’s my proposal: Let’s make Släkt a verb.

“Did you Släkt the dishes yet?”
“No worries, I’ll Släkt it before bed.”
“You forgot to Släkt again, didn’t you?”

It rolls off the tongue. It carries just the right amount of guilt. And it gives us something better than the classic parental broken record routine.

But seriously — that’s the goal with this app. Not just to remind people of chores, but to build a rhythm. A shared language. A sense that we’re all in it together.

So yeah, maybe one day we’ll be saying it like it’s second nature. Until then… just don’t forget to Släkt it.

By the way:

If you've been silently reading our app name as “Slacked,” “Slakt,” or “Slay-ked”… you’re not alone.

Let’s clear it up, once and for all..

Correct: Sleckt (rhymes with “checked”)
Not: Slackt. Slaykt. Slawked. Snack.

Släkt is Swedish for family, kin, clan — which is exactly what this app is for: families keeping it together (and keeping it clean).

Say it however you like. But if you want to sound like a true chore-boss, now you know.
